Rogan ‘Hosh’

Good evening guys, today Lou an I cooked ourselves up a delicious syn free curry and we thought we’d share it with you guys.

So on the menu is a chicken Rogan Josh.

What you’ll need is:

2 onions , finely diced
1 root Ginger , grated
5 cloves Garlic, grated
1 Green chilli, chopped
200ml chicken stock ( 2 cubes )
1 – 400g can of chopped tomato
1 Large chicken Breast, cubed
1 tsp, coriander
1 tsp, paprika
1 tsp, chilli powder
1.5 tsp, rogan josh spice
2 tbsp Tumeric
4 generous scoops of rice
Fresh coriander, to taste


Start by putting your onion, garlic and ginger in a saucepan with low cal spray and leave to softer for about 5 minutes


Next add your spices ( not the turmeric) and chopped chilli and leave to fry for a further minute or two.


Add the tomatoes, chicken and stock. Stir well and leave to simmer for 30-35 minutes.


While this simmers bring a sauce pan of water to the boil and add the turmeric about 15 minutes before your curry is ready add the rice to the water, stir well and leave to cook for 10-15 minutes.


Just before your ready to take your curry out chop or crumble your fresh coriander in and stir , leave to simmer while you drain your rice.

voila a delicious healthy homemade curry ready for eating.
